About The Tutorials

As with the Demos, I've attempted to serve two purposes with these tutorials, and so, have taken a different approach to each one.

The finger picking demo editing tutorial is written from the perspective of having done all the input using a guitar synth, and spends a fair amount of time dealing with the sorts of problems that method has, but also will be useful from the perspective of tweaking velocities to get an acoustic guitar feel that I hope will be useful to keyboardists, too.

The strum demo editing tutorial, which is really more of a cross-picking piece, is written from the perspective of a keyboardist who has put all the notes in quantized and needs to jiggle things around to get rid of the machine-gun feel of a quantized and constant velocity midi track.

I've posted HTML versions of the first 14, and 16 pages respectively on the articles page. The full versions will be available with the SampleSmith G1 Full package, and separately in the SampleSmith G1 Tutorials & Project Files package. These will be available soon.
