Soundfont Testing.zip (13kB) This contains a Cubase project, and midi
file with a few chromatic scales, and some experiments with Attack, Release
Time, and Brightness that I find useful for assessing what you can get out
of a Soundfont. Expand it to suit your needs.

SampleSmith_Free_G1-v1.zip
(15,281kB) This is a much smaller version of the full sound font. At
31.4MB, it's about 1/4 of the full size version. It contains only the Long
Rings and Open Mutes presets, and those are from a reduced sample set. I
had to remove the soft attacks samples to get the size down, so this is not
velocity switched. File too big? Please post in the QuickPoll. Thanks!

Finger-picking Demo.zip (1937kB) This is a solo midi guitar demo of the Samplesmith Northwood Guitar font v1.0 in a finger-picking style. Unlike many demos you've heard, this one solos the instrument so nothing is hidden.
Flat-picking Demo.zip (733kB) This is the strum/crosspick solo midi guitar demo of the Samplesmith Northwood Guitar font v1.0. I added a bass track to this. If anyone wants to hear it solo, drop me line and I'll add that as a download.
More downloads will appear as they become available. This is intended to include PDF's of articles, the SoundFonts, the complete midi projects (in Cubase SX), and the midi files for both demos. The editing tutorials, based on the demo projects, currently at about 54 pages for the finger-picking one, and 30 pages for the flat-picking, will unfortunately not be free. I have to support this effort somehow, right?
